arts conversations Studio Upstairs has teamed up with Bristol Central Library to deliver a series of member-led talks about art, mind, philosophy, film, literature, or any subject at all. This is an excellent opportunity for all in the studio to meet, spark a debate, share knowledge and be inspired. The first in the 2007 series of talks was Paddy and Ollie’s talk "Damien Hirst: Addicted to Arts". making it up Another exciting collaboration with Arnolfini – "Making It Up" is a series of workshops open to the general public and delivered by Studio Upstairs members. The workshops are planned for April, June and October – Details will be released on our NEWS page. Please click here for more information artist in residence Following the success of residence of internationally renowned artist Pedro Reyes (organised in November 2005 in collaboration with Arnolfini), Studio Upstairs wishes to continue the artist in residence practice. The project, aimed to start in December 2007, is now in the consultation stage, with members expressing preferred media of work and thinking of themes that they want to explore with the visiting artist.
