We are looking for an exceptional and highly motivated individual to join the team and help us move the organisation through an exciting phase of development.
This is a key role for the successful delivery of our Sustainability Project funded by the Cabinet Office through the Big Lottery Fund.
The role is intended develop and maximise the Studio business opportunities coupled with marketing and cultivating key relationships.
You will make a significant difference in helping the charity to increase its income, deliver a programme of events and activities and achieve a quality accreditation.
As an excellent team player, you will be confident in communicating to a variety of audiences, upholding a professional and friendly manner at all times. You will possess strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and to deputise for the Director.
This post is (initially) a one year fixed freelance contract with an intention to develop the role further.

Administrator, South London
Studio Upstairs is seeking an organised, numerically confident administrator. This role will support the team with robust financial record-keeping, and assist with other tasks such as organising meetings, gallery marketing, events and fundraising in our South London Studio.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years administrative experience, with excellent communication, financial and data management skills. We are looking for someone who is a team player, committed to Studio Upstairs mission and values. They will also be:
- Highly organised and competent administrator with at least 2 years’ experience
- Able to work to deadlines and agreed targets
- Able to manage databases and maintain accurate records
- With excellent attention to detail
This is a freelance contract, initially for two days per week on £18 500 per annum (pro-rata).

Workshop Volunteers/ Artists, London Studio
We are now accepting proposals for short term workshops from artists. Please email your workshop proposal and CV to be considered for a session or taster session. We are looking for artists and art students who would be willing to volunteer to run art projects of their own design on various uses of art materials and techniques for up to four to six weeks at a time. In previous projects we have done puppetry, graphic design, portrait painting, oil paint techniques.
