Studio Manager (Art Therapist), Studio Upstairs London
Studio Upstairs needs an exceptional, self-motivated individual to join our team.
The main purpose of the role is to facilitate a safe environment, which enables Studio Members to effect change and growth on a personal and artistic level through therapeutic relationships and through the use of art materials.
Other responsibilities include: organising regular reviews of studio artists artwork; be open to the emotional needs of the membership; provide individual support where necessary; help organise exhibitions or run creative workshops for the Studio.
The successful applicant would be a qualified art therapist and a practicing artist. They will have ‘a can do’ attitude, capable of handling a multitude of tasks and able to stay calm under pressure.
This is a freelance contract for one day per week, Wednesday or Friday at £20000 to £21000 (pro rata).
The role will include some evening or weekend work.
Clinical supervision will be provided. The role is a subject of enhanced DBS check.
The deadline for receiving completed applications is 5pm, 31st October 2016.
Interviews will be held during November.

- General office skills: answering the phones and responding to emails; monitoring stationary and art materials; maintaining a database of contacts; files and records management

Key Skills Required
- Organised and accurate
- Good general administrative skills
- Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel

- An interest in the arts and mental well-being

Workshop Volunteers/ Artists, London Studio
We are now accepting proposals for short term workshops from artists. Please email your workshop proposal and CV to be considered for a session or taster session. We are looking for artists and art students who would be willing to volunteer to run art projects of their own design on various uses of art materials and techniques for up to four to six weeks at a time. In previous projects we have done puppetry, graphic design, portrait painting, oil paint techniques.
